New call for applications for funding under Academy Programme for Development Research opens in February
The Academy of Finland and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland are launching a call for applications under the Academy Programme for Development Research DEVELOP2. The call will open on 1 February 2023.
The Academy’s total funding is a maximum 3 million euros, while the total funding by Ministry comes to no more than 3.25 million euros.
The DEVELOP2 Academy Programme is intended to provide funding for multidisciplinary, phenomenon-driven and problem-based research that is concerned with issues of global development, benefits developing countries’ economic, social and ecological development, and puts to good use Finnish knowledge and expertise.
Development research describes and interprets dimensions of development, helps understand obstacles to development and finds ways in which those obstacles can be removed. In practical terms, the aim is to produce knowledge that can help solve problems related to, for example, health, natural resources, the economy and education.
A call info session will be organised on 25 January at 14.00–15.00 via Microsoft Teams. At the session, representatives of the Academy and the Ministry will present the DEVELOP2 programme and answer questions by session participants. The session will be held in English.
