Subcommittees
The Board of the Research Council of Finland has appointed a number of subcommittees to act as independent decision-making bodies. They make funding decisions concerning calls that come under the responsibility of several scientific councils or the Finnish Research Infrastructure Committee.
When the Board appoints a subcommittee, it defines the subcommittee’s tasks and appoints its chair, vice chair and other members. A subcommittee may include only chairs or members of the Board, the scientific councils, the Finnish Research Infrastructure Committee and the Strategic Research Council. A subcommittee’s term ends at the latest when the term of the Board ends.
