JPI MYBL 2024 call “Labour force shortages within the long-term care sector (LTC)”

This is the Joint Programming initiative’s “More years, better lives (MYBL)” fifth joint call: “Labour force shortages within the long-term care sector”. The call covers three interrelated aspects of the labour force shortages in the LTC sector within the framework of demographic change, ageing and care of older people. Proposals must address all three research topics outlined below, paying particular attention to cross-cutting issues of gender, ethnicity and social inclusion:

  1. Working situation
  2. The role of AI
  3. Cross-national differences and similarities within different welfare systems.

The Research Council of Finland’s Scientific Council for Social Sciences and Humanities has decided to fund this call with approximately 700,000 euros. This amount is expected to cover funding for 2–3 projects.
