Generation AI

Public description of the goals at the beginning of the project

This project provides a solid foundation for educating the “Generation AI” on the defining technology of their era: Its mechanisms, opportunities, and dynamics — but also its weaknesses, biases, and risks, and how it can be used to discriminate, polarize, create insecurity, and break trust. The project engages with AI developers, schools, government bodies, businesses and NGOs. It equips the school system to facilitate learners’ resilience in the face of the technological forces at play in the international political arena, and equip teachers with the necessary pedagogical tools to effectuate this curricular transformation. How to empower learners with insight into the technologies that govern the systems upon which they increasingly depend is one of the grand challenges of the 21st century. Motivated by this challenge, the project creates and refines the evidence base required by future curriculum reforms that answer the needs of the Generation AI.
