COPE
Public description of the goals at the beginning of the project
Health and social care are facing several challenges which impact the working life and environment in the sector and requests new skills and competences for the employees and management. The forthcoming health and social care reform, ageing population and workforce, multiculturalism, and digitalisation accompanied with difficulties to increase resources will challenge established knowledge and practices and bring on needs for renewed expertise and approaches. This project provides evidence-based knowledge and novel tools which aim to tackle the challenges of the future health and social care work by focusing on education, management/leadership, multicultural approach, novel ways of work, and user-focused planning and co-creation. The project is implemented by research teams based on THL, Aalto University, University of Eastern Finland, and Laurea University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the networks of municipal organisations and stakeholders.
