Monitoring report
The continuous monitoring of SRC-funded projects is primarily carried out through impact stories. A project shall produce 1–5 impact stories, which are updated and supplemented throughout the project’s run. The impact stories describe the research and interaction carried out in the project in relation to the joint impact objectives of the programme and the project’s own impact objectives. The impact stories continue on the descriptions given in the state-of-play reports and serve as a tool for the project to compile and reflect on its activities. We encourage projects to prepare the stories in cooperation between work packages and reflect on the added value of multidisciplinary cooperation in the pursuit of impact.
In addition to the impact stories, the monitoring report asks for information on the main events or other activities related to the impact stories, publications produced by the project (non-scientific publications, i.e. publication types D–I of the national publication data collection) and expert work carried out by project members.
The monitoring report is submitted once around the mid-point of each funding period. The deadline is at the end of March (31 March) in the second full calendar year of the funding period. The monitoring report deadlines are not visible to the funding recipients in the online services, but are sent to the consortium PIs by email.
The SRC encourages all projects to present their impact stories on their websites. At the end of the programme, the stories will be stored in the Research Council of Finland’s image and media bank, where they will be openly accessible to all.
