FinnCERES – Materials Bioeconomy Flagship

The FinnCERES Flagship promotes the bioeconomy through new bio-based material solutions. This multidisciplinary competence cluster develops primarily wood-based material innovations that support sustainable economic growth and the transition to a carbon-neutral society. Breakthroughs in bio-based materials are essential not only for the environment but also for socially and economically sustainable wellbeing. The Flagship’s scientific results address global challenges related to resource sufficiency, climate change and quality of life.
