Commitment by site of research

The use, payment and supervision of funding granted by the RCF is governed by the Finnish Act on Discretionary Government Transfers, the RCF standard terms for funding and any special conditions mentioned in the RCF funding decision. The terms for the use of funding are the same irrespective of whether the funding involves a government organisation or a recipient of discretionary government grants.

The project’s site of research is the applicant’s background organisation (e.g. university, research institute or research organisation), which manages the funding.

The commitment issued by the site of research to the application means that the site accepts the application and confirms that security risks and their management have been adequately addressed in the application. The site is also familiar with the standard terms for funding valid during the application period.

If funding is granted, the site commits to acting as the funding recipient and assuming all related obligations, using the funding for the purpose indicated in the funding decision, and complying with the RCF’s standard terms for funding and any special conditions set in the decision.
