Proof of Concept: From research to economic and social impact

The RCF’s Proof of Concept (PoC) funding is designed to support the effective translation of high-quality, sustainable and impactful research into social benefit. The projects funded in the first PoC call have, for example, developed tools and methods for making the Finnish game culture and industry more culturally, socially and economically sustainable. In addition, the projects have contributed to the implementation of a European warning and advisory system for vegetation fires and smoke pollution and developed a testing method based on urine DNA testing for the diagnosis and monitoring of urothelial cancer.
