Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (FIN-CLARIAH)
FIN-CLARIAH is a national research infrastructure that makes advanced digital services and tools available to social sciences and humanities researchers.
FIN-CLARIAH consists of two components: FIN-CLARIN and DARIAH-FI. It combines the resources of language technology, artificial intelligence and cultural research and enables, among other things:
- the processing of spoken minority language data using large language models (LLM)
- the processing of unstructured text with new tools
- the study of audio-visual culture by processing metadata
- the adaptation of transformer technology in social sciences and humanities.
This infrastructure is built in cooperation with: University of Helsinki, CSC - IT Center for Science Ltd, Tampere University, University of Jyväskylä, University of Turku, University of Eastern Finland, Aalto University and University of Oulu.
