Biocenter Finland (BF)
Biocenter Finland (BF) is a national life science research infrastructure located at six Finnish universities: University of Helsinki, University of Eastern Finland, University of Oulu, Tampere University, University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University.
BF coordinates 17 technology platforms that provide comprehensive key technologies and research services that are used to study key environmental and health issues. The technology services are open to nearly 20,000 academic, healthcare and industrial researchers in different parts of Finland and abroad.
Rapid technological and digital development has revolutionised life sciences research, and the importance of infrastructures has become central. BF is exemplary in the coordination and strategic use of activities and resources that encompass the entire discipline.
