The Finnish Centre of Excellence in Nuclear and Accelerator Based Physics consisted of eight research groups. Its main focus was on studies of new phenomena in nuclei under extreme conditions.
The CoE involved both experimental and theoretical research in nuclear and accelerator-based physics and related applications at the University of Jyväskylä Department of Physics. Applications and instrumentation were developed at the CoE for use in both research and industry.
The CoE was headed by Professor Rauno Julin.
