Working in close consultation with the Finnish research community, the Finnish Advisory Board on Research Integrity, an expert body appointed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, has drawn up guidelines for good scientific practice and procedures for handling misconduct and fraud in science. The Academy of Finland is committed to complying with these guidelines.
The Academy requires that researchers publish their work following the principles of open access and open data. When applying for funding from the Academy, researchers must include in their research plans a publication plan and a data management plan.
The Academy of Finland Equality Plan is applied to those working on Academy funding, to Academy Professors and Academy Research Fellows, and to the staff at the Academy’s Administration Office. The current Equality Plan is in effect until the end of 2016.
