Era-PerMed, the Era-Net for Personalized Medicine organizes a transnational call JTC2020 titled “Personalised Medicine – pre-/clinical research, big data and ICT, implementation and user’s perspective”. The call fosters research and innovation activities that build close linkages between basic biomedical research, clinical research, physical sciences, bioengineering, bioinformatics and biostatistics, epidemiology, socio-economic research, as well as research on the integration of PM into clinical practice and on ethical, legal and social implications across the participating countries and beyond.
Each consortium submitting a proposal must involve at least three partners eligible for funding coming from three different countries whose funders participate in the call. The Academy of Finland guidelines for applicants follow for most parts the guidelines for Academy Projects. The Research Councils for Natural Sciences and Engineering as well as for Biosciences, Health and the Environment have budgeted a total of 1.5 million euros for funding of researchers with Finnish affiliation that participate in most successful research consortia of the call (full cost model: maximum of 300 000 € / consortium).
