23 Oct 2019

Welcome to open public event in Oodi Helsinki Central Library at Maijansali Auditorium to discuss our relationships with music and digital musical instruments 14 November (Töölönlahdenkatu 4, Helsinki).

The symposium will discuss critically our relationships with music and digital musical instruments, exploring how these new relationships build embodied behaviours, expectations, beliefs, interpretations and actions in various ways we practice and act on music through digital technologies. This symposium will bring together expert scholars, artists and practitioners from the musicology, music performance, new interfaces for musical expression, sound and music computing and postphenomenology studies.

Event language is English. Read more from website of the symposium, including the programme.

There will also be a concert organised following the symposium 15 November. Read more about the concert.

Event is organised by Aalto University and it’s part of Academy Project Digital Musical Interactions - Instruments – Performances.
