Welcome to the Final Symposium of the Microbes and Man Research Programme. All the researchers of the MICMAN projects and all other interested in these topics are kindly welcome to participate. The symposium is the last one in the series of the annual symposiums of MICMAN.

The programme of the symposium consists of one key-note presentation and presentations of the results obtained in the MICMAN-funded projects. 

PROGRAMME

REGISTRATION FEE
There is no registration fee. MICMAN will offer coffees and meals, including the symposium dinner, to all registered participants. The participants are requested to pay for their accommodation by themselves.
Registration of all participants is necessary for practical arrangements.

REGISTRATION by February 28, 2006.

ACCOMMODATION
There are hotel rooms available at the Unitas Congress Center. Please make your room reservation directly to the Congress Center, e-mail: unitaskk@unitaskk.fi.
- Single room, 76 €, double room 57 € (per night per person, incl. breakfast). When making your reservation, remember to give "MICMAN" as a reference. Reservations should be made before February 28, 2006.

SYMPOSIUM VENUE 
The Unitas Congress Center is located in eastern Helsinki in Meri-Rastila, 15 km from the centre of Helsinki and Helsinki-Vantaa airport. More: http://www.unitaskk.fi/eng/

HOW TO REACH THE SYMPOSIUM
 From the centre of Helsinki
Take the metro to the Rastila station. In Rastila, take the bus 96 (in the evenings also 90B) to the direction of Ramsinniemi (ask the driver). The buses go about every 15-20 minutes. Get off the bus at the crossroads of Meri-Rastilantie and Ramsinniementie, and walk about 600 metres along Ramsinniementie to the congress centre.

In addition, a minibus marked "Palvelulinja" (7P) leaves the subway station at Rastila at 8.15 in the morning for the Unitas Congress Center. It returns from the Unitas Congress Center to the same subway station at 16.15 in the afternoon.

 From the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport 
a) Take the bus 519 to the Itäkeskus metro station (takes ab. 35 min). Take the metro to the Rastila metro station. In Rastila continue as inditaced above.
Bus timetable: The bus 519 leaves every 10 and 40 minutes past each hour from the platform 2A of the domestic terminal and platform 7 of the international terminal.

b) Take the Finnair bus to the centre of Helsinki (takes ab. 30 min). The bus leaves every 20 minutes. Continue as indicated above.

c) Or take a taxi to the symposium venue.
