The 2nd Finnish Microbial Pathogenesis Day
October 7, 2004, at 9.30-17.00,
Ravintola Tekniska, Eerikinkatu 2, Helsinki

INVITATION

The 2nd Finnish Microbial Pathogenesis Day will be held on Thursday October 7, 2004 in Helsinki. The aim of the seminar is to invite researchers on microbial pathogenesis together, advance scientific discussion between the research groups and to get familiar on the research done in this field. According to our definition, research on microbial pathogenesis covers studies that aim at understanding how microbes (viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites) cause diseases.

The programme consists of scientific presentations by participants and a keynote presentation to be given by prof. Volkmar Braun from the University of Tübingen, Germany (Braun's visit cancelled Oct 6.).  There will be time to discuss on a graduate school proposal in this research field to be submitted in early 2005.

FINAL PROGRAM OF THE SEMINAR

All interested in the topic are welcome to participate.

The event is free of charge. Because the lunch is offered to the participants, we will need the information on whether you will join us for a lunch or not.
