Annual Research Programme Seminar 2008

This Seminar is the last annual seminar of the programme as required by the Programme Steering Group. Thus the participation of all members of the research programme is preferred.
Seminaari on ohjelmaryhmän edellyttämä tutkimusohjelman vuosiseminaari, johon toivotaan osallistuvan kaikkien ohjelmassa työskentelevien.
Thursday 30.10 (Muuttohaukka)
The purpose of the day is to prepare for the assessment process of the research programme due in 2009 (see below for tasks of the research projects). The projects need to properly prepare for presentations preferably with PowerPoint presentations (no written report is necessary).

January 2009 |
· The project leaders fill the project self-assessment form. |

March 2009 |
· National closing seminar (end-users and interest groups) where the synthesis is published. |
|
April 2009 |
· The projects give their scientific summary of the results of their project (20 pages) for the international closing seminar. |
|
May 2009 |
· The international closing seminar as part of the evaluation process. The evaluation panel participates in the seminar which mainly consists of concise reports of the project results and scientific comments.
· The evaluation panel interviews during the seminar and on the following day in small group sessions all project leaders and at least one researcher in each project, and end users such as representatives of the ministry of the environment, representative of administrative adjudication, ministry of agriculture and forestry, companies, the chair and one member of the programme steering group, the co-ordinators and the programme manager in the Academy of Finland. |

Päivän ohjelma pohjustaa koko ohjelmasta tehtävää synteesiä. Tarkoituksena on keskustella fasilitoidusti ohjelman keskeisistä tuloksista. Osallistujat työskentelevät toimivat 3 ryhmässä, joita fasilitoivat ohjelmasta laadittavan synteesikirjan kirjoittajat Anne Kumpula, Jukka Similä ja Tapio Määttä.
