The NORIA-net funding scheme was launched in 2007 by NordForsk with a view to accelerating cooperation between the Nordic bodies funding basic research. NORIA-net projects are aimed at networking research funding agencies, carrying out joint surveys and developing new processes and methods.
The Academy has been involved in eight NORIA-net projects, coordinating four (Asia NORIA-net, Development of Peer Review in the Nordic Context, NORIA-net on Health and Welfare, and Nordic Evaluation of Sports Sciences) and participating in four (Use of Bibliometrics in Research Policy and Evaluation Activities, Nordic eScience Initiative (eNORIA), Nordic Research Infrastructure Network (NRIN), and Nordic Network for International Research Policy Analysis (NIRPA). Later on, NordForsk has renewed the NORIA-net programme to better contribute to the achievement of the organisation’s strategic goals.
In 2012, NORIA-net Arctic was launched to prepare a Nordic research programme for Arctic regions. The Academy is involved in NORIA-net Arctic.
