How often do you search for information on Wikipedia?
Wikipedia offers an easy and efficient way to spread information worldwide. With so many people using Wikipedia as a source of information, it is very important that the information available on the online encyclopedia is correct. Who better to create content on Wikipedia than researchers?
During this training session, we will discuss Wikipedia’s reliability as a source of information and its impressiveness as a tool for research communication. We will learn the basic principles of Wikipedia, the structure of a good Wikipedia article and how to edit content on Wikipedia.
We will create and publish an article on Wikipedia with the help of Kaskas Media communications agency. Please choose your topic(s) beforehand. You may also bring sources like books, articles or hyperlinks with you. Remember to bring your laptop as well.
The traning will be hosted by communication specialists Enni Sahlman and Iina Ala-Kurikka from Kaskas Media. The training will be in English and it's free of charge. Lunch and coffee are included.
