Arctic Know-how as Strength

Date: 18–19 March 2015

Venue: High Tech Centre HTC, Tammasaarenkatu 3, Helsinki

The event is an opening seminar for two new research programmes, the Academy of Finland’s Arctic Academy Programme (2014-2018) and Tekes’ Arctic Seas programme (2014-2017). Speakers in the first session on EU Arctic policy are Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja, Ambassador Hannu Halinen and Arctic Cooperation Policy Officer Zuzanna Bieniuk. The goal of the two-day seminar is to introduce the new Arctic research projects and to facilitate networking between researchers, end-users and stakeholders. A panel of stakeholders will hold a discussion under the theme “How to develop our Arctic know-how”.

The seminar is free of charge and open to all interested parties. Registration is required. We kindly ask you to register at your earliest convenience by 11 March 2015.
