Academy of Finland is the prime funding agency for basic research in Finland. It promotes scientific research and its application, supports international cooperation, acts as an expert organ in science policy issues and allocates funding to research. The Academy supports the research career in all its stages and encourages all kinds of mobility of researchers, including international.
