Jussi Taipale

Jussi Taipale is Research Professor at the National Public Health Institute of Finland and Professor of Medical Systems Biology at the University of Helsinki. His research field is cell and molecular biology and his research team is based at Biomedicum Helsinki. The team is part of the Academy of Finland's Centre of Excellence in Translational Genome-Scale Biology, the Nordic Centre of Excellence Programme in Molecular Medicine as well as Biocentrum Helsinki. Taipale is also director of the High Throughput Center at Biomedicum Helsinki. His research focuses on cell-cell communication as regards cell and organ growth. Changes in these mechanisms are significant in terms of cell division and cancer development.
