Altogether 139 entries in the Viksu 2012 competition

The 15th round of Viksu, the science competition of the Academy of Finland, closed on 26 November 2012. This time, altogether 139 entries from 31 senior secondary schools were submitted to the competition. The entries were drawn up by a total of 153 students, including 126 individuals, 10 pairs and 2 teams. Of the participants, 101 were girls and 52 boys. Read more...

Studies on the Swedish language and animal rights rhetorics winners in the Academy’s 2011 science competition

The winners of the Academy of Finland’s science competition for senior secondary students (known simply as Viksu) have been announced. The 1^st prize in Viksu’s national category went to Miro Metsämuuronen (Lappeenrannan Lyseon lukio) for his excellent entry in the field of linguistics. Winner in the international category was Laura Lamberg (Tikkurilan lukio), with an ambitious entry in the field of literature. Both winners will be awarded 4,000 euros.
