Research Programme on Business Know-how, LIIKE 2 (2006-2009)

Emerging issues around the local and global economy, employment, business operations, competitiveness and the commercialisation of innovations and technology know-how were highlighted in this research programme focusing on issues of business know-how. This research programme was aimed to answer the question of how business know-how serves as a pillar of Finnish society alongside technological and social innovations.
The Research Programme on Business Know-how (LIIKE2) was aimed to explore different dimensions of business know-how that are considered important to the Finnish economy. One of the aims of the programme was to integrate the analysis of business know-how with the current situation in the national economy: In what way do Finnish and Finnish-based companies improve national competitiveness through their own actions?
The general aims of the programme were to strengthen research in business know-how;
to improve the socio-economic applicability of business know-how; to promote national and international research cooperation; and to strengthen researcher training and research careers.
