Mid-term seminar of the FinNano research programme
The mid-term seminar of the FinNano research programme was held on 15-16 September in Helsinki, at the Katajanokan Kasino, and 68 researchers participated, including invited speakers.
The programme of the seminar consisted of invited keynote talks and contributed presentations. At the end of the second day we had a panel discussion under the theme: Recent results and New openings in nanoscience & What can we expect worldwide in 2011, when the FinNano programme comes to its end.
The keynote speakers of the seminar were be Prof. Joachim Krenn
(JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH and Karl-Franzens-University , Austria), Executive scientist Suvi Haukka (ASM Microchemistry Ltd) and Dr. Robert N. Grass (ETH Zurich, Functional Materials Laboratory).
