NanoSci-ERA
The focus of NanoSci-ERA (NanoScience in the European Research Area) is on basic research in the field of nanoscience. Its objective is to increase collaboration and integration in the national nanoscience research communities in Europe through transnational research projects and evaluation.
The NanoSci-ERA project was coordinated by CNRS in France and the project involved 18 partners from twelve countries.
The project was officially completed on 28 February 2010, but the collaboration continues under NanoSci-ERA+.
The network received FP7 funding under the ERA-NET Plus scheme. With this funding, a joint call was opened in 2009. Funding was awarded to 24 projects, with a total budget of EUR 19.2 million. The funded projects will run through 2012.
