MATERA

The ERA-NET project MATERA (Material Science and Engineering in Europe) is targeted at providing information in the field of materials science and engineering for national and regional policy-makers and at strengthening the international dimension of the field.

MATERA is coordinated by Tekes in Finland. The project involves 23 participants, including the Academy of Finland, from 21 countries.

MATERA has a budget of EUR 2.23 million for 2005–2011.

The MATERA consortium organised an ERA-NET Plus call in 2009. The call attracted 20 partners from 14 countries and had a budget of EUR 15.4 million. Of this, the EU Commission's contribution was EUR 5 million.
