Decision preparation by Programme Steering Group

On the basis of the evaluation of full applications, the Programme Steering Group prepares for the funding agencies of the programme a proposal on the projects to be funded. The Programme Steering Group takes into consideration the statements issued by the expert panel, the objectives set for the programme/call, and the appropriate, programme-specific entity.

The Programme Steering Group comprises the Academy’s Research Council and/or Board members appointed by the Academy as well as representatives of possible other funding agencies participating in the programme. In addition, the expertise of a Programme Steering Group may, if needed, be expanded by Finnish or foreign experts in the field.

After the funding decision has been made, the panel’s statement and/or individual statements are sent to the applicant.
