Research funding cooperation is carried out within the Academy of Finland’s research programmes.
ADDICTION Research Programme The Research Programme on Substance Use and Addictions is scheduled to run from 2007 to 2010. The programme is internationally co-funded. The funding organisations are the Academy of Finland, the Institute of Neuroscience, Mental Health and Addiction (INMHA/Canadian Institutes of Health Research), the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) and the Russian Foundation for Humanities (RFH).
SALVE Research Programme
The Research Programme on Responding to Public Health Challenges (SALVE) is scheduled to run from 2009 to 2012. The Academy of Finland has agreed on funding cooperation within the programme with a Norwegian (Research Council of Norway), a Canadian (Canadian Institutes of Health Research) and a British (Medical Research Council) funding body.
SKIDI-KIDS Research Programme
The Research Programme (SKIDI-KIDS) on the health and welfare of children and young people has started. Project funding will be implemented mainly between 2010 and 2013. The programme has agreed on funding cooperation with institutes of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
