Belarus

The Academy of Finland has an agreement on cooperation with the Belarusian Academy of Sciences. The agreement covers all scientific disciplines.

MOBILITY

a) TRAVEL GRANT TO FINNISH RESEARCHER

• Awarded for research at Belarusian research institutes and universities
• Grant amounts abroad 2009 
• Applicants are required to have earned a higher academic degree 
• Applicants must have obtained an invitation from the institution serving as host 
• Archive and library work does not require an invitation
• Maximum duration is one year 
• Special instructions: Mobility grants

Academy of Finland covers: 

• Grant that covers the costs incurred from the travel

b) FUNDS FOR INVITING BELARUSIAN RESEARCHER TO FINLAND 

• Funds for inviting a Belarusian researcher to Finland to do research  
• Grants to foreign researchers working in Finland in 2009 
• The researcher to be invited is required to have earned a higher academic degree 
• Maximum duration of visit is one year 
• Special instructions: Invitation money

The funds cover: 

• Travel costs – round trip from Belarus to Finland 
• Travel costs in Finland related to the scientific programme of the visit 
• Grant for living expenses
