The Academy of Finland has agreements on cooperation with three Indian research funding organisations: the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Tooltech Ltd. The agreements do not cover research fields in the social sciences and humanities.
Cooperation is designed to support researcher mobility and joint projects. Joint calls have been carried out in 2006-2011. The next call will be implemented in 2012. The theme of each call is defined separately.
The Academy will also develop cooperation with other Indian organisations engaged in research, such as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
