Agening Research: ERA-AGE 2 JCRA

ERA-AGE 2, the European network for ageing research, aims at continuing the development of the European Research Area in the field of ageing research.

The theme of the Joint Call for Research Applications (JCRA) in Ageing is Active and Healthy Ageing Across the Life Course. The aim of the call is support multi- or transdisciplinary projects in ageing research.

The Academy of Finland funds Finnish projects that are successful in the international call. The Academy’s Research Council for Culture and Society has earmarked funding for a maximum of two three-year projects and the Research Council for Health for a maximum of one three-year project.

How to apply

Please note the non-standard application procedure. More detailed application guidelines and terms are available on the ERA-AGE 2 website. Applications shall be submitted via that website. The call was opened in June and the deadline is 3 October 2011.

Finnish applicants shall follow both the international application guidelines and the Academy’s general guidelines.

The ERA-AGE 2 call has two stages. The Academy will request Finnish researchers who have been successful in the international review to submit a separate application in the Academy’s online services. Guidelines will be given at a later stage.

Applicants are requested to contact the contact persons at the Academy in advance, if they intend to submit an application to this call.
