European Research Council (ERC) calls

ERC Starting Independent Researcher Grants and Advanced Investigators Grants
The European Research Council (ERC) will open a call for Starting Independent Researcher Grant in summer 2012. The call for Advanced Investigators Grant are open during summer and autumn. Applications are invited from all fields of research.

The deadlines differ between various research fields. Further information and detailed application guidelines are available on the ERC website.

Academy support to researchers successful in ERC calls

The Academy of Finland may target funding to researchers who have done well in ERC calls but have not been granted funding. This Academy funding is intended to reinforce the international competitiveness of the researchers and the projects they are heading. Eligibility to receive this type of funding requires participation in the next possible ERC call.
