The report The State and Quality of Scientific Research in Finland (PDF) reviews Finnish scientific research and its environment in the late 1990s. The general part of the review deals with the development of science policy, research funding, universities and the impact and effectiveness of research. The reports by the four Research Councils focus on themes that they considered as most important in their respective fields. In their reports, the Research Councils highlight the research career and internationalisation.
