Communications Unit

The Communications Unit is responsible for the Academy’s internal and external communications, takes care of media contacts and works to raise the public understanding of science and research among the general public. The Unit is organised into two teams: one responsible for the media and publications and the other for raising public understanding of science in society.

The Communications Unit is responsible for the Academy’s press releases, magazines (A propos and ProAcademia), external and internal web pages, science events and participation in fairs, presentation slides, brochures, annual report and online newsletter. The Unit disseminates information on the calls for Academy research grants as well as on funding opportunities within the Science in Society specific programme of the EU 7th Framework Programme. The Academy’s Science Policy Library operates in connection with the Unit.
