Culture and Society Research Unit

The Unit is responsible for preparing, presenting as well as executing and monitoring matters within the scope of the Research Council for Culture and Society. The Unit also answers for the administration of development studies within the fields of all Research Councils as well as for Finnish representation at IIASA, coordination of the NORFACE project and the activities of the NOS-HS Secretariat. The Unit is committed to upgrading the quality of research on Finnish culture and society as well as increasing its international visibility and recognition in society.
