Nordic Data Grid Facility

Four Nordic countries have constructed a prototype for a Data Grid Facility. In Finland, the funding decision was made by the Academy of Finland in 2002: it allocated funding to CSC – Finnish IT Center for Science for this purpose. The funding bodies in the other participating countries are organisations corresponding to the Academy. The evaluation group set up by NOS-N assessed the prototype in 2004, after which the Nordic Data Grid Facility was established in 2006.
