Board

The highest decision making organ of the Academy of Finland is its Board, whose eight members are responsible for the Academy's science policy line and the allocation of research appropriations to research councils. In addition, the Board decides on the appointment of Academy Professors, the selection of research units into the centre of excellence programme and the start-up of new research programmes.
