The Academy

The Academy of Finland is the prime funding agency for basic research in Finland. Other key agencies funding science and technology in Finland are Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, and Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. The Academy operates within the administrative sector of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
