Academy’s international activities reorganised

(29 Oct 2012)

The Academy of Finland is in the process of reorganising its international activities and dividing them between the different units at the Academy. The move is part of an effort to make international activities and cooperation an increasingly integral part of all Academy functions.

As part of the reorganisation, the Academy’s International Relations Unit will be dissolved as of 1 November 2012 and its tasks divided between other units at the Academy: the Biosciences and Environment Research Unit, the Culture and Society Research Unit, the Programme Unit, the Management Support Unit, the Finance Unit and the Communications Unit. For instance, the responsibility for EU-related activities will transfer to the Management Support Unit.
